What I learned working on the DrupalCampNYC website
by LaToya Legemah
Hear what challenges LaToya encountered joining the camp's web team, getting a local environment set up on Lando (on her M1 mac), and contributing to the open source project for the website.
"Setting up my local environment to work with DrupalNY was very challenging. Although I received guidance I was encouraged to research and try different techniques to get my environment set up. I would like to speak about that process and how that process is relatable to our tech careers as a whole. You have to research, try, plan, fail and repeat until you receive success. It took many steps to finally get things working correctly".
LaToya Legemah is a Senior Front End Web Developer with over twenty years of experience. She has worked in the governmental, advertising and pharmauetical industries. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Information Systems. She is a tech enthusiast who believes STEM careers can bring diverse communities together.
