Garry Moroney, Founder & CEO of Clavis Insights

A serial tech entrepreneur and data insights expert, Garry Moroney has a knack for building rapid growth companies and leading them to large exits. His first company, Similarity Systems - a data integration software platform he co-founded with Brian Caulfield - was able to secure a €55m sale to Informatica in 2006. One year later, Moroney founded Clavis Insights, an e-commerce analytics company that provides e-Commerce analytics that help online retailers track and optimize the performance of their products. Well positioned to capitalize on the boom in e-commerce sales and with proprietary technology to automate online store monitoring, at scale, Clavis quickly gained giants like P&G, Nestle, Unilever and L’Oreal as customers. In Dec 2017, UK firm Ascential acquired Clavis Insights for an initial cash consideration of €100 million, with the potential to as high as €194m in payouts due to their high levels of recurring revenues it earns. Come hear Garry’s insights into how he built such incredible growth machines and successfully exited.
