Your workshop leader:
Gearóid is an Irish designer, writer and community organiser. During the day he designs and builds new products at AngelList — a platform for startups to meet investors, talent and incubators. Two weeks ago he helped launch A-List, a premium hiring platform built on top of the AngelList network. In the evening he organises events like Design+Banter (20 events over two year in London, attracting over 200 attendees per event) and Datamat.es (a new event bringing data sicentists and designers together). At the weekend he hikes. Before AngelList, Gearóid was Global Head of Product Design at Helpling (+$75M raised), Head of Design & Growth at Hassle.com (acquired for ~$40M), Lead Designer at Listora (acquired by the Press Association, undisclosed amount), Event.ly (dead), and EDITED (~$6M raised, still trucking), and a long-time design mentor at Seedcamp (the world’s most profilic seed investment fund). Long, long ago, Gearóid ran his own small agency in Dublin and worked for the Irish Times.

Be prepared to:
- Be honest and call bullshit when you see it
- Talk about your own experiences with design at startups
- Ask questions of Gearóid and each other
