Online CFP Writing Workshop 2022

Make sharing your skills a new goal for 2022... ...and we'll help you achieve it!

Events or conferences looking for speakers start a process called "Call for Proposals". This is an invitation for anyone interested in taking part to submit their idea for a talk or workshop. Proposals are an outline of what you'd like to talk about and helps organisers choose talks for their events.

DDD Perth's CFP workshop is here to help you craft that proposal and reduce any worry you may have when submitting it..

This year we're running two workshops during our CFP period, one will be online and another will be in person.

This workshop will be online, to make it (we hope) as easy to attend as possible. Children and pets are very welcome, in fact some of our mentors will be using two screens - one with toddler tractor videos on mute, and the other for the video conference. It's the little things.

Video is not essential but highly encouraged as it's useful practise for conference speaking.

Workshop will be run 6pm - 8.30pm, and resources will be provided if you need to pop in and out or can't make the whole session. If you're making dinner at 6pm, have us on in the background, we'll be more entertaining than The Project!
