Code of Conduct

All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at our conference are required to agree with the code of conduct. Organisers will enforce this code throughout the event. We are expecting cooperation from all participants to help ensuring a safe environment for everybody.

Registration

DDD Melbourne will be held at the Melbourne Town Hall. We'll be giving more information on how we're making registration better this year as we get closer to the event.

Travel

Although parking is available around the venue we recommend delegates travel by public transport. The closest train station is Flinders Street Station, one block away. All Collins Street or Swanston Street trams stop at the corner of Melbourne Town Hall. There is minimal metered parking in the surrounding city streets. Alternatively, there are several car parks stations nearby.

Diversity and Inclusion

DDD Melbourne is an inclusive conference that welcomes everyone to attend and participate. In an effort to ensure we're facilitating this, we have a few new additions to the day:

• We're hosting a catered Ladies Breakfast on the morning of the conference for women to meet and network with each other before heading to the venue together
• We're putting aside a space as a Relaxation Room this year, where attendees can chill out and take some time away from the social interaction of the conference. Volunteer staff will be on hand here for the entire day
• This year we are providing the option of presenting submissions to a private panel. We recognise that not everyone wants to be in the spotlight while presenting, so we are providing an alternate pathway
• There will also be speaker training and support for all speakers, so first timers, juniors, and all the rest are encouraged to submit and be supported!
• We are excited to be able to offer the option of onsite childcare this year
• We are also running an Opportunity program on an application basis for people who wouldn’t otherwise be able to attend due to costs

No refunds are available. You are welcome to send someone else in your place.

Can I pay by cheque, invoice, cash, Coinye West?

No - this year all payments will be via Stripe. It's vastly easier for us as organisers to only accept payments using Stripe, which currently doesn't allow payments to be made by Diners or virtual animal cryptocurrency. Please consider using Stripe with your own credit card and claiming it back on expenses. The cost is low, so it should easily fall within your expenses limit!

Will I be filmed or photographed at DDD Melbourne?

During DDD Melbourne events any person may be photographed or filmed as part of the occasion, either as an individual or as a member of a group by media personnel authorised by Oz Dev Inc. An individual may also appear in a photograph or video inadvertently, in the background. Permission is incorporated into the entry conditions to the event. You must inform said media personnel if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed.
