Workshop

Come along and pool your skills and knowledge with others from non-profit organisations.

This will be a participative workshop with the aim of crowdsourcing the greatest data strategy ever in no more than an hour. Data Orchard CIC will be facilitating the workshop but the content will be from you and your peers in non-profit organisations.

It will be fun, focused and free.

What it's all about

It's an opportunity to talk to other people about data strategy. It's a chance to share what has worked and not worked for you. It's an opportunity to find out what other people have tried, and where they have succeeded.

You do not need to be an expert on data strategy, you just need to have an interest in data strategy. And a willingness to get stuck in to a workshop for an hour.

What will happen

We'll be on Zoom but this will be a workshop, not a webinar. You'll work in small groups in breakout rooms discussing different aspects of data strategy in non-profits. We'll ask groups to record the key points of the discussion on a Google Doc. Then we'll share the Google Doc with everyone who took part in the workshop.

Who should attend

Anyone who works in a non-profit organisation and is interested in data strategy. You don't need to be a data expert (though data experts are very welcome). You don't need to be a manager (though if you are a manager that's also great).

All you need is an interest in data strategy in non-profits, an Internet connection and the willingness to take part in an interactive workshop.

Why we are doing this

Data Orchard CIC is a social enterprise with a mission to help organisations use better data for greater impact. We want to support and strengthen the community of people working to improve data in non-profit organisations. One way of doing that is to offer free events for that community. We already run a series of webinars. This is the first in a new series of more interactive events designed to get people talking and working together.
