Comrie Community Woodland Welcome Event

Come along and enjoy a fun and interesting day to mark the creation of our new community woodland.

The day runs from 11-4pm

Your ticket cost includes:

Guided nature walks: starting at 11:15am and 2pm – walk around the woodland with local nature experts to learn about and discover the birds, insects, trees and plants on site. Find out about the planting of the new woodland. Wellies or good waterproof boots advised.

Forest School Tent: A wide range of activities lead by Forest School Leader Bryony Bainbridge.

Music: A day of folk and world music provided by fantastic local musicians, including performances as well as informal slow and fast sessions. Line-up includes: The Erratics, Reelspeil, Fiona and Nat Chalamanda (possibly with friends), Bryony Bainbridge and Seth Tinsley, musicians from Far North Retreats, Earnsong, + more (TBC)

Food: Provided by Wild Hearth, Hansen’s Kitchen, Comrie Community Orchard and local homebaking.

Additional Information

Some chairs and benches will be available, but you could bring a picnic blanket.

Cold drinks will be available but bring a cup please, and a flask of your favourite hot drink if you would like one. Napkins will be provided but bring a plate/cutlery if you want some luxury.

Arriving: The woodland is about 400m past Cultybraggan Camp up Glen Artney on the left-hand side. Parking is available at Cultybraggan Camp, with some disabled spaces at the entrance to the woodland.  Bikes can be kept at the woodland entrance as well.
