codebar Festival 2025 Fringe
Join us for a evening of comedy, lightning talks, networking and plenty of snacks to close off a week of brilliant codebar Festival talks! We’ll have a handful of amateur and veteran comedians taking to the stage for an evening where tech meets talent.
We’re creating a space where everyone can belong, at a time when diversity and inclusion has become increasingly deprioritised by tech companies. Every ticket sold supports codebar’s mission to empower underrepresented groups to succeed in tech.
Our lightning talk lineup includes (in no particular order)
- Kourosh Simpkins on The Implications of Watching (Deepfaked) Politicians Play Minecraft,
- Keegan Rimmington on Box Packing is Hard,
- Hugh Evans on Meetup is Terrible Now: Strategies for Beating Platform Enshittification for Community Organisers,
- Willow Smith on No More £60 Paperweights: A Rant About Planned Obsolescence and Smart Home Hardware (and it’s apparently the best talk ever given).
The event's (very tentative!) schedule is
- 1800 — arrive and network
- 1830 — comedy sets start
- 1930 — brief break
- 1945 — lightning talks start
- 2045 — more networking!
If you’d like to join our comedy or lightning talk lineup and raise money for a phenomenal charity, reach out to us at hello@codebar.io!
