A workshop where you can learn more about the benefit of Equine Assisted Therapy – using horses to reach goals with children and adults with specific needs. These include providing physical, emotional and psychological benefits to people with autism spectrum disorder, cerebal palsy, seizure disorder, visual and hearing impairments, anxiety disorder, learning disorder, substance abuse, multiple sclerosis, development disorder, muscular dystrophy, brain injury as well as behavioural problems.

There are many benefits of Equine Assisted Therapy – using horses to reach goals with children and adults with specific needs. These include providing physical, emotional and psychological benefits to people with autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, seizure disorder, visual and hearing impairment, anxiety disorder, learning disorder, substance abuse, multiple sclerosis, development disorder, muscular dystrophy, amputation, brain injury as well as behavioural problems.

Occupational Therapy using horses as the therapeutic medium is called and Equine Assisted Occupational Therapy (EAOT). This is a service we provide here in ChildVision. EAOT provides targeted support to the individual by maximising their abilities and helping them interact and participate in everyday life to their fullest potential. It can improve proprioception, sensory processing, motor coordination, posture, balance, muscle tone, concentration, self-esteem, self-confidence and social skills in riders with special needs.
