Introducing
Multi-Line Refreshable Braille Technology
Single-line refreshable Braille devices have been in existence for well over 40 years now. These Braille terminals, or displays, allow for the output of a fixed number of Braille characters, in single-line formation. One of the challenges for users of this technology has been how to access materials where multi-line Braille would be advantageous, for example, accessing music, mathematics or science-based subjects.
In the last 18 months we’ve seen a number of new and emerging multi-line Braille devices hit the market. Join us for this session, where Sight and Sound Technology’s Stuart Lawler will discuss some of these, and demonstrate where they may be useful and what might be in store for the future.
