How to Assess for ASD within the Visually Impaired Community

For the session, Sinead and Audrey will discuss;

• “Blindisms” as they present in those with a visual impairment
• Brief introduction into how one would typically assess for ASD
• Challenges of assessing for ASD with a visual impairment
• Difficulties with accessing assessment materials
• How to interpret findings

Following the session, we would invite you to ask specific questions based on your current caseload. This will be followed by a live Q&A workshop where we will do our best to answer any questions asked.

This workshop is open to all health and social care professionals, and those within the educational setting who provide services for the visually impaired.
