After a sell-out opening to 2016, Cannoli & Gun team up with The Rummer Hotel for an exceptionally special evening: Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel, with a four course banquet, including your own individual Mendl's Cake, faithfully recreated by Bristol's own cake-maker extraordinaire, Ahh Toots.

Wes Anderson is known for his precision of vision, his perfect mise en scene. The Rummer Hotel is known for its exceptional cuisine. To see The Grand Budapest Hotel in the Rummer Hotel is a perfect match.

The Grand Budapest Hotel is a delight, a series of stories within stories, all set in and around the titular hotel. Starring Ralph Fiennes, F Murray Abraham, Jude Law, Tilda Swinton, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, and many more, it's an unsuspectingly funny film, with added pathos. Throughout the film, people dine, or make asides about food in dialogue, or in voiceover. It is from these throwaway moments that we, and the exceptional team at the Rummer Hotel, have crafted an evening of gastronomical delight.

Over the course of the film you will be treated to: rabbit terrine, soup, and saddle of lamb, all exquisitely presented, all delicious. (Equally delectable vegetarian options will be available on request.)

Finally, the piéce de resistance, the wonderful Ahh Toots will present you with your own Mendl's Cake, as seen in the film.

The evening will be a sensory experience, as the tastes of the film are served alongside the visual delights of the film. The private dining area of the Rummer is an intimate space, and so there are a limited number of tickets available.
