Gotland Game Conference 2014

Game design, game systems, gaming culture and play - how can these things be applied? What can they do? What can they say?

What are the inherent powers of games? What would it look like - beyond 3D-vision and higher poly counts, beyond buttons and screens - if games were taken their theoretical limits?

We will look at game systems stretching beyond livingroom escapism, and think big as to what the future of gaming could hold.

Join us in Sweden – 29-30 May – to find out how game designers can change world!

Additional Information

Uppsala University, campus Gotland have been teaching game design since 2001. The GGC is an annual (very public!) evaluation of our work. International industry, academia and press help scrutinize our output, hone our process and celebrate our results.

Students kick start the event with presentations of their projects; exposing themselves and the university to insightful critique from an experienced panel of industry personas.

We then proceed with a two day conference; with lectures and networking on the show floor, amongst the student’s games.
