Responsible Business Roadshow | Derry City and Strabane District Council

Please note: this event has been postponed. A new date will be announced.

Join businesses of all sizes and from all sectors in your local area for a morning networking event to discuss responsible business. Be inspired by and learn from others on how they are overcoming challenges to make a positive impact on people, planet and place.

About the Responsible Business Roadshows

Business in the Community (BITC) - the responsible business network - challenges and supports organisations in Northern Ireland with their responsible business action.

Through our Responsible Business Roadshows across NI, we are raising awareness of the programmes and initiatives your business can avail of, to help meet its goals around people, planet and place.

We are working in partnership with councils in Northern Ireland to invite local businesses along to hear from us and our members in the area, on how to best overcome the responsible business challenges that organisations are facing in today’s business world.

These Roadshows are free to attend and open to businesses of all sizes and sectors. Both members and non-members of BITC are welcome.

About this event

This Roadshow is targeted at businesses in the Derry City and Strabane District Council Area.

This event will be beneficial regardless of where your organisation is in its responsible business journey, from those finding their way to those already demonstrating best practice in certain areas, but who have ambitions to do more.

You will hear from local business on how they have navigated their responsible business journeys and the challenges faced along the way. Business in the Community will provide useful tips on how to structure your efforts to help encompass all areas of responsible business and take a more strategic approach to action.

The format of the event will involve facilitated roundtable discussions on various aspects of responsible business, ranging from staff wellbeing, diversity & inclusion, volunteering, carbon footprint, volunteering and more. This will allow attendees to learn from each other and take away ideas to apply within their own organisations.
