
Link & Learn | Understanding Disability in the Workplace: a guide for employers
Exclusively for Business in the Community members, this session aims to give employers the tools to create a more inclusive workplace for people with disabilities.
Facilitated by Employers for Disability NI, this session aims to empower managers, wellbeing champions and individuals to have a greater awareness and understanding of disabilities.
Attendees will also hear practical examples from Openreach on how it has created a more inclusive workplace for people with disabilities.
Topics covered include:
- What is a disability?
- Policies and practices that create an inclusive
- What does a supportive workplace look like?
- Reasonable accommodations - advice for employees and managers on how to navigate this process.
- Actions for employers
- Disability accreditation and training
There will be an opportunity for Q&A.
