People Ops as a Product

According to Jessica Hayes, VP People & Talent at Whereby, there are two sides to her job - the human operations one and the people operations one. While humans and people are synonyms on most occasions, when it comes to her job, the two differ significantly. Most notably because People Ops is more akin to a product - the one your team buys into during recruitment and then continues to subscribe to until they hand in their resignation. So if the employee experience is a product you are building, how should you shape your strategy?

Join us for the next Boundless online meetup on Friday, January 29th from 4.00 to 5:00 pm GMT where Jessica will share how building your team accordingly enables People Ops teams to more effectively rise to the challenges presented to us, such as:

  • More choice in work (so greater competition)
  • Global talent pools (with more diverse needs)
  • Remote-first and distributed working (which bring unprecedented challenges)

After Jessica'’s talk, we will have plenty of time for questions and answers so be sure to think of some ahead of the meetup. It’s our mission to bring likeminded people together, so they can collaboratively learn from one another and build lasting connections.

About Jessica: Jessica is a person and likes to think she is good enough to do it professionally. She is a hands-on leader in People, Culture and Talent and finds joy in diverse, kind, and world-changing companies filled with excellent people.
