Additional Information

It's Boston's Nodebots Day, and we're excited to have you come help us build a giant Nodebots Overlord!

What's that? You don't want an all-powerful robot ruler? Fine, suit yourself. Either way, we hope you're planning to come hang out with us at the Bocoup Loft, where we'll be hacking from 10 a.m. to around 5 p.m. on all manner of arduino-powered things.

Location: As a reminder for those who haven't been to the loft in a while - we've moved! Our new address is 239 Causeway St. in Boston. It's right near North Station, but if you have to drive, there's plenty of garage parking available. When you arrive, use the Medford St. entryway, and take the stairs or second elevator to the 2nd floor.

Nodebots & What to Bring If you're new to Nodebots, don't despair. Take a look at the readme on the Johnny-Five repo, and know that there will be plenty of friendly folks in Boston and beyond to help you out. It's an international event - so there will be lots of people talking about projects and asking and answering questions in IRC (#robotjs in freenode) and on Twitter (via @nodebots and @nodebotsday).

We'll have soda, coffee, snacks, lunch, and friendly people to help you get started. The event is Bring Your Own Hardware if you have something specific in mind to build, but we do have extra kits, boards, and tools floating around for those who want to use try out a Galileo board, or if you just want to get your toes wet.

Specifically, it's a great idea to bring:

What is Nodebots Day? It's like a hackathon, minus the 'athon-y' part. There will be no prizes other than the satisfaction of making cool stuff with cool people. There will be very little in the way of talks - we're going to get together, collaborate, and hack in the name of JavaScript Fun Times.

Further questions? Let me know - hope to see everyone tomorrow!
