Chalk Hill Wine Dinner at Joey Gerard's of Mequon

Set your sights on Sonoma with an educational night of food and wine with Chalk Hill's head winemaker, Steve Nelson. The winery has a rich history that started in 1972 when founder Fred Furth, after getting an aerial view of the land from his plane, decided to start producing wine. Ever since, Chalk Hill has been producing hand-harvested wines that offer many and varied tasting notes due to the unique nature of the land.

Head Winemaker, Steve Nelson started out in genetics at the University of California, Davis but quickly discovered a passion for wine when he realized "winemaking was way cooler than biotech...." He then graduated with a degree in viticulture, began his career and has been at it for over ten years. Steve will be at the restaurant for the evening to walk guests through a tasting of four wines including Sauvignon Blanc, two Chardonnays and Pinot Noir. Executive Chef Amber Dorszynski will curate a four course meal to complement these unique wines.
