2026 Baroque Music Festival

South Carolina's second Annual Baroque Music Festival, featuring six concerts over the weekend of May 15-17, 2026. The theme of this year's festival is Baroque Music Around the World, and will feature the music of Italy, the New World, and England. Performers and venues will be announced soon. May 15 - Wine Tasting with Richard deBondt - Wines of Italy

Richard deBondt with Northampton Wines will be curating a selection of seven wines from various regions of Italy, paired with cheeses to complement the tasting experience. Join our Artistic Director, David Rhyne, for this exclusive and intimate wine tasting in conjunction with our first day of the SC Baroque Music Festival, which celebrates the music of Italy.

After the wine tasting, come to the first concert of the festival, featuring the North Carolina Baroque Orchestra (located at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 2619 Augusta St., 29605).

Friday Ticketed Concert

Join the North Carolina Baroque Orchestra for their program titled, "Storm and Splendor," featuring the music of Italy! Hear works by Giuseppe Torelli, Tomaso Albinoni, Francesco Geminiani, and Arcangelo Corelli, all played on period instruments using Baroque tuning. You won't want to miss this exciting performance!

Children's Concert - Free Admission

Join us for an interactive concert experience to delight all ages! This event is most appropriate for children ages 5-12 and their families. More details coming soon!

Organist David Furniss - Music of Spain and Oaxaca, Mexico

Join organist David Furniss, a part-time resident of Oaxaca, Mexico, as he performs music that would have been played in Mexico during the Baroque era, as well as a sampling of the few extant works from Mexican Baroque composers.

Música Ficta - Celebrating the Music of Spain and the New World

This exciting concert features Música Ficta, an ensemble based in Colombia, South America. The program will feature the works of Sebastián Durón, exclusively found in Latin American Archives. Durón was brought up in a deeply-rooted and clearly distinguishable native tradition, within which he was highly respected and could develop his personal style, he witnessed the advent of the Italian influence, and succeeded in adopting and adapting its new forms with originality into his own music.

Music in the Galleries - Sunday Afternoon Free Admission

Join us for an intimate concert at the Greenville County Museum of Art, featuring countertenor Charles Humphries and lutenist William Simms! The concert will feature the music of English Baroque composers. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Handel's Messiah featuring the SC Bach Choir and Soloists with the NC Baroque Orchestra

The South Carolina Bach Choir and Soloists along with the North Carolina Baroque Orchestra will perform one of Handel's greatest masterworks in its entirety. There will be an intermission.
