Voluntary Assistance Scheme - Speaking for Ourselves Advocacy Training
The Voluntary Assistance Scheme of The Bar of Ireland is holding an Advocacy Training workshop for charities on Thursday November 24th 2016 with a view to assisting charities develop their advocacy skills and enhance their capacity to communicate as an organisation. As advocates who regularly provide legal assistance to charities, we hope that our advocacy experience can be put to practical use in the NGO sector. We will also have contributions from experts who will provide advice on effectively engaging with public bodies. VAS greatly values our relationship with the voluntary sector and we hope that this workshop will be of some benefit to your organisation. We would greatly welcome your involvement and the workshop will be provided free of charge to 50 participants. It is hoped that this workshop will be of benefit to advocates and communications officers from charities and voluntary organisations throughout the NGO sector. Commences at 1.00pm sharp and concludes at 4.45pm and will be followed by a drinks reception. Please note that places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
