AVSPNI SA Evening Meeting - Virginia Luis Fuentes - The cat with a murmur, should I be worried?
BIOGRAPHY Virginia Luis Fuentes graduated from Cambridge, working in first opinion veterinary practice for 5 years before becoming a Lecturer at the University of Edinburgh. She then moved to the USA as an Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and then the Ohio State University. She returned to the UK in 2004, joining the Royal Veterinary College, London, where she is a Professor of Veterinary Cardiology. She is a past Chair of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Cardiology Specialty, and was Chair of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Feline Cardiomyopathy Consensus Statement group. She is currently a member of the American Society of Echocardiography writing group for small animal guidelines on transthoracic 2D and M-mode echocardiography.
