Wanna Come Plane Spotting and Aviation Pride UK are joining forces for their first codeshare social: an afternoon of aviation, drag, laughs and friendly competition!
Join us at The Ministry as our aviation-themed quiz, run by Queerz Night, takes off, with the fabulous Irene Bru welcoming the crowd and taking to the stage for a special drag performance. Afterwards, we’ll make our onward connection to Betty & Joan’s for a drinks reception.
Whether you’re an aviation expert, an enthusiastic plane spotter or simply along for a great afternoon, everyone is welcome aboard.

Welcome aboard the APUK / WCPS Codeshare Social
Having already joined forces at London Pride, Wanna Come Plane Spotting and Aviation Pride UK are now taking their codeshare partnership to the next flight level with their first jointly run social event.
Our shared flight plan brings together aviation, drag, friends, laughter and a little friendly competition, beginning at The Ministry in Elephant & Castle (not to be confused with The Ministry of Sound).
Doors open at 1.00 pm, giving you time to check in, collect your name badge, meet your fellow passengers and settle in before the quiz takes off.
The quiz
Around 70% of the questions will have an aviation connection, but you certainly won’t need to know every aircraft type or airport code to get off the ground. Expect an entertaining mixture of picture rounds, general knowledge and loosely aviation-inspired questions, with some excellent prizes up for grabs.
The quiz itself will be run by Queerz Night, who will keep the questions, scores and friendly competition on course. The fabulous Irene Bru will welcome everyone aboard, work the room and provide the in-flight entertainment with a special drag performance during the quiz break.
Your onward connection
Once the quiz has landed and the winners have been crowned, it’s time to collect your baggage and make your onward connection to Betty & Joan's in Elephant Park.
We’ll meet there from 4.30 pm for a drinks reception and the chance to continue the social into the evening.
Come with friends or travel solo. Whether you work in aviation, love plane spotting, enjoy travelling or simply fancy a fun and friendly afternoon, you’ll be very welcome aboard.
Flight schedule
1.00 pm – Check-in opens, welcome and socialising
2.00 pm – Quiz takes off
2.45 pm – In-flight entertainment from Irene Bru
3.10 pm – Quiz service resumes
3.45 pm – Touchdown, winners and prizes
4.00 pm – Baggage reclaim and departure from The Ministry
4.30 pm – Onward connection at Betty & Joan’s

Tickets are £15 per person. Seats on this codeshare are limited, so secure yours early to avoid missing the departure.
