Agile Fluency Town Hall - July 2
__Announcing the Agile Fluency Project Town Hall Meetings!__
July 2, 12:00-1:00 pm EDT / 6:00-7:00 pm CEST (16:00-17:00 UTC)
*If this time doesn't work for you, please consider joining our Town Hall on* July 1, 7:00-8:00 pm PDT / July 2, 12:00-1:00 pm AEST (UTC 02:00-03:00)
Community is something everyone talks about, but as the old saw about the weather goes, nobody does anything about it.
Well, not nobody. We all have seen people try to "make community happen" or have even tried ourselves, but it's like picking up gelatin desserts: looks easy, is hard.
We at the Agile Fluency Project have a broad range of experience in both creating and enjoying communities, and we're going to put our gardening skills to work here in the Agile Fluency Project interest group. I was about to say "community" there, but we're not quite there yet, are we?
Whether you're a licensed facilitator or a fan, you're welcome. If you've gone through our workshops, you probably feel warmly about the cohort you journeyed with as you learned to understand and usefully apply the AFM and Diagnostic Instrument, but it's a bit tougher to feel connection with the hundred folks around the world who know and use the Agile Fluency Suite. If you're one of the hundreds of fans, you may wonder what the heck is going on.
That's where the Agile Fluency Town Hall Meeting comes in!
What's that? Town meetings are how small communities in the New England region of the United States, along with some communities around the world, engage in information sharing, exploration, and collaborative decision-making. Everyone with an interest in the health of the community is welcome, everyone has a voice, no one is "in charge" or more important than another, and a facilitator, often called a moderator, helps folks hear each other.
We've successfully started a few Town Hall Meeting cycles for communities that involve an organization, company, or common worldview, and now comes the Agile Fluency Project Community-to-Be!
What will our community feel and be like? Well, that's something for all of us to discover and co-create together. We imagine fun, warmth, sharing, laughter, learning, and...well, we'll see!
It's easy to join: just register to attend. We'll send out a Zoom link a few days before the Town Hall, so all you have to do is show up at the date and time. We'll run two sessions so that no one has to stay up late or get up early all the time, but you can attend either or all of them! And given how many Zoom/Teams meetings everyone seems to have these days, we'll "soft start" at the beginning of the hour and slowly warm up for five minutes, so that if your previous meeting went right up to the line you'll have time for a bio or coffee break or just to spin around three times and clear your head! And we'll end five minutes early, before the top of the next hour, so that we're not one of *those* meetings that don't seem to end!
Do you want to help, present, participate, or just fool around with us? All that's good. In the AFP Slack workspace, there's a #townhall channel that you can help us make our future together. You can also contribute in the Agile Fluency Project Google group or through our Contact Us form on the website. Come on by, and let's see what the future holds!
