We'll be having two in-person speakers from GDoC Expo!
6:05PM Opening Remarks
6:15PM Kickstart Community: Lessons from AAPI In Gaming - Shavonne Yu (she/her)

6:45PM Made in Asia/America: Building Communities of Gamemakers and Game Scholars - Professor Kawika Guillermo (They/He)
7:15-9:00PM Mingling and playtesting at tables, with optional curated talks being screened in the theater area

Bring your laptop/console if you want to showcase your work after 7:15PM. We'll have some tables/desks in the room to set up on. You do not need to ask permission, just bring your games! First come first serve, and please bring your own power bars.
Safety note: For fire/electrical safety, please don't daisy-chain power bars or overload outlets. Bring a power bar/extension cord that is in good condition, and please keep cables tidy and out of walkways.

Location
The watch party will be held at LaSalle College, in the main lobby. You can access the lobby through the main entrance on the south side of the building. Upon entering the front door, check-in will be on your right, and the main event will be on your left.
The college is right next to Renfrew Station, and the Central Valley Greenway, with many bike racks by the front door.

Yup! We welcome all people to this event.
Are there minimum age requirements to attend the event?
We welcome people of all ages!
Do I need to be in the games industry to attend?
No! We welcome people from outside the industry. Whether you're a fan of games or just curious, you'll have a blast at our event.
What is a Watch Party?
At a GDoCExpo Watch Party, local communities gather together in-person at a venue to watch the same conference as online attendees.
I bought a ticket. How do I log in?
The 2026 Game Devs of Color Expo Online will take place on Swapcard – our online event platform. You'll be emailed with instructions on how to log-in.
If I can't watch all the talks, will I be able to watch them later?
Yes, virtual tickets include the ability to rewatch any talk, panel, or interview in our online event space on demand. After several months, we will begin to publish videos one-by-one on YouTube. Buying a ticket is the best way to access everything as soon as possible.
