Level 5 Award in Crowd Safety Management (RQF)

Safe Events Global is facilitating this course, which will be delivered by the Square Metre Group.

This course is delivered all around the world on a regular basis, with thousands of people having completed it before you.

It is intensive and is designed to deliver a high level of strategic safety knowledge in a short period of time. Day 3 sees you applying the learning to an event plan of your choice. This is done in smaller groups and presented to the class.

Delivered through a blend of workshops and guided self study, the 3-day workshop element outlined here precedes you having to submit 2 assignments. This is to ensure you've understood the course content and can receive the Certificate of Achievement.

This course has NOT been delivered publicly in Ireland before so this represents a superb opportunity for you to enhance your skills in this area.

The Course

You will look at topics such as Critical Density, how the effects of Design, Information and Management systems influence your crowd's behaviour and much more.

You will develop your understanding of crowd risks in places of public assembly and work through the principles and applications of causality for major incidents.

You will look at your own site / related issues and, by the end of the course, you will better understand how individuals and crowds react to and behave in available space.

You will explore appropriate modelling tools and you will learn to apply risk management techniques to the development of robust Crowd Management Plans.

You will learn to better understand your crowds, which will allow you to plan better for their safety.
