Festive 500 2022

500 kilometres, 8 days, memories that’ll last a lifetime.

For 12 years riders all over the world having been getting on their bikes with the goal of completing 500 kilometres between December 24-31. A rite of passage and iconic challenge, each year followers new and old take to the roads, rollers or trails, but there’s more to it than reaching the finish line. Camaraderie and community, motivation and mistakes are all part of what makes it such a special challenge.

Our local RCC ride leaders have provided us with their go-to Festive 500 routes. These won't be led rides because we can't guarantee we'll be able to get out in the harsh North West conditions, but if you're braving the elements you can use these routes for inspiration. That said, if it's dangerous to go out, please be sensible and stay indoors!
