Midwest Jeepthing's Intro to Offroading (Jeeping 101)

For those new to our hobby or Jeeps, please join MWJT as we present our semi-annual "Jeeping 101" off-roading class.   For this special event, in response to Covid precautions, we will be holding our classroom part as a "virtual classroom".  Links to participate will be provided to registered attendees prior to the event.

Please reserve this event for those that have not been to this class before, there will be other opportunities for "easy" wheeling days.

To ensure everyone has a positive and productive experience, we will need to limit enrollment to the first 50 Jeeps.  Due to the somewhat uncertain conditions that tend to exist at any offroad park, we must request only Jeeps with 32" or larger tires participate.

The virtual/online class will begin at 9am, and last until about 11am, and will include classroom fundamentals of off-roading techniques, tread-lightly concepts, vehicle technical basics, and potential vehicle modifications. The class is taught by MWJT member(s), and Axleboy Off-road will lead the technical discussion on features on your Jeep, useful modifications for your Jeep.

After that, all participants should find their way to Moonlight Off-road Park (in Sullivan, MO area) by 1pm.  There we will get everyone signed in and lined up and put your newfound skills to practice on the trails at Moonlight.

Cost is $25 per driver/Jeep, and $15 for adult passengers, free for kid passengers 12 and under. This fee includes the online class, and admittance to Moonlight Off-road, and a new 2w FRS radio for the driver/Jeep. Payment must be made in advance here on Tito.

Special thanks to Axleboy and Moonlight. Without their assistance, MWJT would not be able to offer this full day of education and trail time!
