MARS 4 will begin and end at Torguson Park in North Bend, WA. Only a 35 minute drive from Seattle, North Bend sits at the gateways to Snoqualmie Forest, Raging River Forest, and Rattlesnake Mountain Scenic Area. Each of these areas are seemingly limitless to adventure possibilities, featuring staple PNW landscapes, endless gravel roads, flowing single track, sub-alpine lakes, and striking views of Mt. Rainier.
We will meet at Torguson Park at 8:30 AM and roll out at 9 AM. We'll head north around Mt Si with a short and flat 4 mile warm up before hitting the first big climb of the day up to Lake Hancock. We'll regroup at the lake and take in its beauty together before bombing back down the mountain and continuing into Snoqualmie Forest. We'll pop out of the forest through Tokul and meet at Snoqualmie Falls, where the van will be waiting with our first aid station of the day. We'll get our legs spinning again and cruise through the town of Snoqualmie, cross underneath i-90, and hang a left into Raging River State Forest. This will begin the second major series of climbs, featuring a flowing single track climb, and a STEEP and chunky gravel climb to the Rattlesnake Mountain towers. We'll share epic views of Mt. Rainier and the surrounding valleys at the top, then ride down the last descent into North Bend.
We'll finish out the day at Volition Brewery in North Bend for some well earned beers and food while sharing stories from the day.
