About the Summit

The 5th Annual ConnectHomeUSA (CHUSA) Summit, hosted by HUD and EveryoneOn, will take place October 28-30, 2019 in Washington, DC at HUD Headquarters. This summit is designed to connect CHUSA practitioners to the information and tools to build strong and sustainable digital inclusion programs.

Day 1: Planning a Strong Launch. The first day is designed for the new 2019 cohort and any CHUSA communities that would like a refresher on the key elements of launching your CHUSA program.

Topics to be covered:

• Assembling Your Core Planning Team;

• Partnership Building;

• Organizing a Local Convening;

• Developing Your Action Plan;

• An evening networking session; and

• More!

Days 2 and 3: Resources and Best Practices for Building Sustainable Digital Inclusion Programs. Both days are designed for all communities, from the Legacy communities to the 2017-2019 cohorts and will feature two leaders in the field of digital inclusion.

• Using the Community Reinvestment Act to support digital inclusion;

• Cross-sector partnerships;

• Best practices spotlighting communities doing innovative work in workforce, refurbishing, coding, senior programs, STEM, and other areas;

• Engaging philanthropy;

• Stakeholder deep dives;

• An evening networking event; and

• Much more!

Registration Information

We invite each community to send two (2) representatives, one representative from the housing provider and one representative from the city/municipal partner agency. Coalitions may bring a representative from each agency involved. Additional seats may be available upon request, please email mjuma@enterprisecommunity.org. Unfortunately, HUD cannot provide funding for travel.

Seating is limited, please register by October 11, 2019.

HUD cannot reserve a block of rooms at nearby hotels. However, there are many hotel options nearby (see below). You might inquire as to whether they offer a government rate.
