Unwearied Journey

Join us on Saturday, June 3rd at 7:30pm and Sunday, June 4th at 4:00pm at Lutheran Church of the Reformation for "Unwearied Journey," the third and final concert in our 2022-23 Season, The Journey Continues.

As we come together in commemoration of 30 years together in our shared joy of music and community, we are honored to feature our composer in residence Kevin Siegfried, who has been an integral part of our journey with the works "Child of Earth" and "Songs for the Journey". Kevin will be with us at both concerts as we be premier his new work “Day is Breaking” written especially for this concert and accompanied by full orchestra. We are also delighted to be joined again by American vocalist Katerina Burton, who is a recent graduate from the Cafritz young artists program at the Washington National Opera and has been acclaimed for her "rich and warm singing” (Opera Wire). Works by Handel, Fauré will be featured along with the ethereal motet in eight voices “Lay a Garland” by Robert Pearsall.   We know that our music will uplift your heart, inspire your soul, and remind you of the beauty and resilience of the human spirit.

Covid Precautions

We currently do not plan to require masks or proof of vaccination for audience members, but we encourage our audience to be respectful of their neighbors' preferences. If you are sick, please do not attend  (we will be happy to issue a refund).

There will be performers performing maskless: these maskless performers are required to have had a negative rapid test within 2 hours prior to arrival at the venue.

Specific requirements may be updated based on the COVID levels in the area. We will keep this ticket page updated with the most current information, and we will happily issue refunds to those who might be unable to attend based on changes to our safety policies or due to illness.

On-Demand Option

We are also offering an On-Demand ticket option for those who cannot attend this concert in person. By purchasing that ticket, you will receive a link to the video of the concert from Sunday, June 4 at 4:00pm, which will be available to watch at any time after that point. Everyone who purchases a ticket to attend in person will also receive access to the On Demand options for later viewing. Please note that we are still formalizing our digitization process and there may be hiccups or delays. We encourage you to see us live if you can!

This is a pay-what-you-can performance with suggested ticket prices. You can edit the ticket price if you would like to pay a different amount.

If you have any questions about the outlined policies, aren't sure which ticket to buy, or need to inquire about refunds, please contact us at tickets@capitolhillchorale.org.
