A New Path

Join us on Saturday, June 4 at 7:30pm (pre-concert lecture at 7:00) and Sunday, June 5 at 4:00pm (pre-concert lecture at 3:30) at Lutheran Church of the Reformation for the final concert in our 2021-22 Season.

A New Path is  a concert of music by women composers and composers of color. The events of the past two years have brought much needed attention on underrepresented communities in so many areas, including the art of choral music. Selections will include "Resignation" by Florence B. Price, "Credo" by Margaret Bonds and "Don’t You Let Nobody Turn You 'Round" by Lena McLin. Arrive 30 minutes earlier to hear the pre-concert lecture by Musicologist Dr. Michael Cooper.

We intend to perform A New Path in person on both days. In order to do that, we are requiring proof of vaccination and masking for all attendees, as well as limiting the capacity of each concert to allow for distancing. Specific requirements for all policies are listed at the bottom of this page. We do not have the capacity to accept negative COVID-19 Test Results in lieu of vaccination. Unfortunately, this also means that children who are not fully vaccinated cannot attend.

Because of that, we are also offering an On-Demand ticket option for those who cannot or choose not to attend this concert in person. By purchasing this ticket, you will receive the recording (NOT a live stream) of Sunday's concert, which will be available to watch sometime after June 20. Everyone who purchases a ticket to attend in person will also receive access to the On Demand recording, so if you cannot attend at the last minute, you will still be able to see the performance.

This is a pay-what-you-can performance with suggested ticket prices. You can edit the ticket price if you would like to pay a different amount on any of the below ticket options.

Tickets are also NOT available to purchase at the door with cash (although you can purchase them digitally at any time on your phone). We do not have. a cash box or box office to process your purchase, so please complete the transaction on Ti.to. If you have any questions about the outlined policies, aren't sure which ticket to buy, or need to inquire about refunds, please contact us at tickets@capitolhillchorale.org.
