Ella Fitzgerald: Swingin' Christmas

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY ARE SOLD OUT – Sunday Livestream still available.

The live-streaming option will continue to be available. We are working through the Sunday Waitlist at the moment, but the list is larger than the number of available tickets (if you join the waitlist now you will not get a ticket).

Swing into the holiday season with the Capitol Hill Chorale! Hear "Ella Fitzgerald: Swingin' Christmas" at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2 and 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, at Lutheran Church of the Reformation.

We will be singing your festive favorites, based on the charts of Ella Fitzgerald and her 1960 album “Ella Wishes You a Swinging Christmas.” We'll be joined by our long-time friend and bandleader David Jellema, along with vocalist Sarah Ulloa.

Under the baton of Artistic Director Frederick Binkholder, the Capitol Hill Chorale is thrilled to be kicking off our 31st season with a jazzy program featuring the “First Lady of Song.” Fitzgerald is one of three women in music that we will honor this season—we hope you’ll join us in the new year as we celebrate the compositions of Fanny Hensel (neé Mendelssohn) in March, and the Shaker melodies of Mother Ann in June.

COVID Precautions

We do not require masks or proof of vaccination for audience members, but we encourage our audience to be respectful of their neighbors' preferences. If you are sick, please do not attend—even if it's not COVID.

Specific requirements may be updated based on COVID levels in the area. We will keep this ticket page updated with the most current information, and we will happily issue refunds to those who might be unable to attend based on changes to our safety policies or due to illness.

On-Demand Option

We are also offering an on-demand ticket option for those who cannot attend this concert in person. By purchasing that ticket, you will receive a link to the video of the Sunday concert, which will be available to watch at any time after that point. Everyone who purchases a ticket to attend in person will also receive access to the on-demand options for later viewing. We will also be releasing this link publicly. Please note that we are still formalizing our digitization process and there may be hiccups or delays. We encourage you to see us live if you can!

This is a pay-what-you-can performance with suggested ticket prices. You can edit the ticket price if you would like to pay a different amount.

If you have any questions about the outlined policies, aren't sure which ticket to buy, or need to inquire about refunds, please contact us at tickets@capitolhillchorale.org.
