The R. Paul Drummond Conducting Fellowship is a year-long program to build capacity among up-and-coming musicians who aim to lead arts organizations. Fellows work with Artistic Director Fred Binkholder to lead rehearsals, conduct selections during Capitol Hill Chorale concerts, perform as a member of the ensemble, and learn the administrative functions of the Chorale. The fellowship includes a capstone concert which the fellow must program, rehearse, and conduct. The fellowship is named after Dr. Drummond, who was Fred's mentor.
