The Defamation Amendment Act 2026: The Jury's Out?
A panel of experts will review the provisions of the Defamation Amendment Act - including the removal of juries, the introduction of a "serious harm" test for corporate plaintiffs, the new defences for broadcasters and retailers - and preview how this will affect defamation action in the future.
At the end of the presentation, participants will be fully briefed as to the state of defamation law in Ireland.
