Topic: Vulnerable Witnesses and Defendants in Criminal Proceedings
CPD event to be held by the Bar Council, Irish Criminal Bar Association and Clarus Press. Criminal practitioner, Miriam Delahunt BL PhD, and Mr. Justice Paul McDermott, Judge of the High Court, will outline relevant updates in the area of vulnerable witnesses and defendants in criminal proceedings.
At the end of the presentation, participants will:
- Be familiar with the current practices and challenges facing practitioners in respect of vulnerable witnesses and defendants.
- Be aware of future goals for the support and assistance of vulnerable witnesses and defendants in criminal proceedings.
Chair: Seamus Clarke SC To mark the publication of 'Vulnerable Witnesses and Defendants in Criminal Proceedings' by Miriam Delahunt BL, PhD with foreword by Mr. Justice Paul McDermott, a wine reception will be held in the Sheds after the event.
