Financial Services Bar Association Annual Conference 2024
Financial Services Bar Association Conference 2024 – Topical Issues in Financial Services Law.
The upcoming conference promises a deep dive into crucial facets of financial services law through three dynamic panel sessions.
The initial session will explore Consumer Claims in Financial Services Law, including consumer protection and the UK's 'Consumer Duty.' Subsequently, our attention will shift to the realm of Anti-Money Laundering in the second session.
Discussions in the second session will span criminal, civil, and regulatory liability, explore the pursuit and defence of civil claims in money-laundering scenarios, and the management of supervisory and regulatory risk.
The third and final session will be dedicated to the Criminal Enforcement of Financial Services Law, surveying the Irish experience, the dynamics of jury trials, insider trading, and comparative analyses of approaches in other common law jurisdictions and the United States.
These sessions promise an in-depth examination of pivotal issues within the landscape of financial services law.
