| 2:45–3:30 p.m. | Panel discussion on Competition Law and panellists are; Paul Gallagher S.C. Michael Collins S.C. Una Butler, Competition & Consumer Protection Commission. Chaired by Ms. Justice Niamh Hyland Paul Gallagher SC will discuss the evolution and importance of competition law enforcement tracing back from the early days of competition law in Ireland up to the present. Una Butler will then speak on the operational aspects of enforcement under the 2022 Act. Michael Collins SC will speak on potential challenges to the 2022 Act/future enforcement and competition law issues that might arise. Attendees will then have the opportunity to ask questions in a Q&A with the speakers. |

A group discussion will follow looking at EUlaw’s impact on a past, present and future basis. |

The EU Bar Association is a specialist bar association for Irish barristers who practise in the area of EU Law. It was established in December 2016 with the purpose of providing a forum for barristers who practise or possess expertise in the area of EU law or who would wish to develop such practice or expertise.
The EUBA provides specialist education to its members through seminars, conferences and morning briefing sessions which seek to keep members up to date on developments in a complex and fast moving area of EU law.
The EUBA promotes the Bar as a specialist provider of advocacy and legal advice in this area.
