The panel will provide a cross-jurisdictional analysis of the implementation of the EU Representative Actions Directive, legislation aimed at allowing consumers in the European Union to bring collective claims for alleged breach of their rights under EU law.

The discussion will address the current position in Ireland at the two-year anniversary of the commencement of the domestic legislation which transposes the Directive into Irish Law, as well as provide insights from the Netherlands, where collective actions have been established for some time.
