CIBA Breakfast Briefing: Repossession Law

The Corporate and Insolvency Bar Association is having a morning CPD event on the 28 May 2025.
The presentation will start at 8.30am, with a light breakfast served from 8.15am. The event will finish at 9.30am sharp.
The CPD will discuss the topic of repossession law.

Tomas Keys BL - Practice and procedure
Shaula Connaughton Deeny BL - Legal issues and recent case law
Keith Rooney BL - Post order issues – substitution/leave to execute/trespass/injunction
Recent case law and legal developments will be discussed, and will be of particular importance to younger members appearing before the County Registrars and Circuit Courts nationwide.
At the end of the presentation, participants will;
* Understand the key elements of possession law
* Understand the key elements of practice and procedure, including practice directions and the Rules.
* Recognise key aspects of the current case law.
* Enable participants to advice on the legal position in terms of creditor and borrower options, defences, and enforcement steps
